Moldovan Minister of Energy visits Denmark

Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, attended the Informal Meeting of EU Energy Ministers organized in Copenhagen, as part of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on 4-5 September in Copenhagen.

During the visit, Denmark’s Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities, Aagaard and Minister Junghietu signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy in Moldova. The agreement foresees exchange of expertise and best practices between Danish and Moldovan energy professionals.

The new cooperation complements existing Danish support to Moldova’s efforts towards a green energy transition, increase of energy efficiency and alignment of the energy sector with EU standards.
